TOPIC: Start VNC Server from phone (root)
Start VNC Server from phone (root) 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0

I have a Moto E4 plus phone running om android 7.1.1.
I'm using VMLite VNC Server that i purchased from the Play Store.

When I start the server from a computer, everything works fine. The screen is visible from my VNC viewer. But the problem is when I try to start it from the phone itself (without using a computer).

When I start it from a terminal or from tasker within the phone, the screen is mostly black but some stuff appear.

Even though I'm using root permission when I send the start commands its not capturing the screen properly. It may have to do with app overlay, but I can't choose to allow VMLite VNC Server because the app has no option for it.

How can I get VMLite VNC Server to work and let it start from the rooted phone? Any and every tip or advice would be appreciated.

PS. The "start on boot" in the settings of the app itself does not even start the app, so that doesn't even work.
