can you right click partition C: in diskmgmt? check if that partition is active. Post the screenshot.

Seems your system is EFI based. What is the brand?

It's a Dell Latitude E6420, I can switch it to BIOS if I have to, but I'd prefer to use EFI.

I tried switching to Legacy instead of UEFI and just got a blinking cursor when I rebooted.

currently, we don't handle EFI partitions well, will check if can fix the bug.

Did you see vboot menu after you switch to BIOS ?
