Which vnc viwer are you using? any messages from the adb command window where you run the server?

In any case, let do this now: (make sure the --nodaemon command is not quited)

(1) open another command window,
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\VMLite\AndroidAppController"
adb forward tcp:5901 tcp:5901
adb forward tcp:5801 tcp:5801

then you open a vnc viwer to connect to localhost:5901

connect:Connection refused (10061)

Also I wasn't using localhost:5901 with tightvnc I was using the full IP.

I tried again and it connected ONLY whilst connected by USB and also it was upside down.

If I disconnected the USB cable, it will not connect with error:

Error in TightVNC Viewer: No connection could be made because target machine actively refused it

when you use adb forward, you will have to keep usb cable connected.

for upside down, you can try to change settings. click menu button on our app, then go to setting. there is one option to turn on, 180 rotated.

are you sure your device is on the same network as your pc?

what is your device model and android version? I wonder if your device has an option to disallow any incoming connections. Have you tried any other server? that you can connect. such as AirDroid
