Rooted Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 CyanogenMod 4.4.2 5 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello. Did a quick search on the forum but did not find any treads specific to my situation, sorry if this is already covered somewhere else on the forum.

Like my subject indicates i am using a rooted s4 running cyanogenmod kitkat 4.4.2.
When trying to start the server although i am rooted i still get the android app controller promt, i thought you did not have to use "tethered" start up when rooted?

When using the app controller i put the phone in usb debugging mode using both MTP and PTP, Adb set at the included program (August 19 2013) i get the following output:

""Starting VMLite VNC Server on device ...
Checking Android devices ...
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
e68a57aa device

VMLite VNC Server is successfully stopped on e68a57aa.

VMLite VNC Server is successfully started on e68a57aa.""

But when looking at the server on the phone it still says that the server is stopped, when trying the press the start button i get the former android app controller promt all over again. And yes i am running a legit version. i.e not cracked

Any help would be highly appreciated

most likely, the daemon somehow can't start on your device, it could be some dependent .so libs.

can you run the following command in Terminal Emulator?

cd /data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/files
./vmlitevncserver --nodaemon

it will print error messages. Please send the over.

I have the same problem, I tried your recommendation but, still did not work, and the only message that a had when I tried was:

Failed to open Fb device (trying run in the term emulator without SU)

After the first try and intent to run with root permissions and I did not obtain some error or message.
Before that I update the adb from 4.2 to 4.4.2 but did not work I spent money... I am a little disappointed

I have the "pay version", I bought it in the play store.

Thank you for the answer.
When running the command this is the output:
""127|root@jfltexx:/data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/files # ./vserver --n odaemon <
connect to gui, resort udp method:: Connection refused""

Hi. You need to run "su" command first
