(Screenshot of startup of the vnc server from my workstation)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[root@hphws ~]# cat /usr/local/bin/S5vnc
#!/bin/bash

adb devices -l

adb shell "am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.vmlite.vncserver/.MainActivity"
adb shell "/data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/files/vmlitevncserver"

[root@hphws ~]# S5vnc
List of devices attached
c66ad325 device usb:3-3 product:kltexx model:SM_G900F device:klte

Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cmp=com.vmlite.vncserver/.MainActivity }
Warning: Activity not started, its current task has been brought to the front
/system/bin/sh: /data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/files/vmlitevncserver: can't execute: Permission denied
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My SGS5 is a stock-market, non-rooted device out of the box.

I downloaded "VMlite vncserver" thru "Google-Play". since the explanation promised:

THE FIRST AND ONLY VNC SERVER WITHOUT ROOT REQUIREMENT

Well, 'can't execute: Permission denied' on startup of the vncserver speaks other words ...

What's wrong with the code on a Galaxy S5?

By the way: The tool on Windwos (7/pro; 64bit) on my notebook also fails to bump up
the vnc server.

Yes, this is due to recent changes introduced by Samsung that denies execution permission to files folder, you can copy the daemon to /data/local/tmp for execution:

adb shell
cd /data/lcoal
mkdir -p tmp
cd /data/local/tmp
cp /data/data/com.vmlite.vncserver/files/vmlitevncserver . (note there is a dot at the end)
chmod 777 ./vmlitevncserver
./vmlitevncserver

We will release a new version of the desktop program next week.
